About the journal
A small case for
paying attention.
Stillwood gathers simple observations about the living things we meet on ordinary routes through a city.
THE PURPOSE
Curiosity travels at walking speed.
Many of us know the buildings on our usual route better than the trees beside them. This journal offers a reason to slow down. Its notes are invitations to observe, compare and return, rather than a catalogue of certain answers.
Begin with what is nearby. Notice a leaf, a texture or a patch of shade. Visit again when the season changes. The same place will have something new to show you.

Look. Record. Return.
Those three steps are enough. No equipment beyond a notebook or a camera, and no need to leave your neighbourhood.
